I Dilettanti at the Lobkowicz Palace
The madrigal ensemble I Dilettanti will perform a program of Renaissance music for the fourth installment of the Lobkowicz Salon. I Dilettanti was founded in 2015 by Čeněk Svoboda and his colleagues with the purpose of interpreting early vocal music with knowledgeable dedication. The repertoire of the ensemble ranges from madrigal compositions for quintets to groups of 20 singers. They specialize in the field of Renaissance vocal polyphony, but also explore the virtuosity of early Baroque songs. The greatest attention is paid to the period around 1600, a period that highlights the principles of the Baroque musical style and harmonic and melodic music in general.
