Nelahozeves Castle

Where is Nelahozeves Castle located?

Nelahozeves Castle is located approximately 35 km north of Prague. For more information about how to get to Nelahozeves, please see Getting Here.

Are there parking facilities?

Yes. The Castle has two parking lots, both of which are adjacent to the building.

Are there guided tours? In what languages?

The exhibition galleries can be visited only by guided tour, with a maximum of 20 visitors per group. Tours are available in Czech, English, French, German, Italian and Russian. If a guide who speaks your language of choice is not available on the day of your visit, it is possible to take a tour with a Czech language guide and accompanying foreign language guide text (available in English, German, French, Italian & Russian). Our group wants to visit the Castle. Do we need to make a special reservation?

Groups of 10 or more people are advised to make a special reservation. For more information, please contact Zdeňka Niklová at +420 315 709 154 or niklova@lobkowicz.cz.

Our group is interested in visiting the Castle during the winter season (from 1.11 to 31.3), when Nelahozeves is normally closed to the public. Is that possible?

May I take photographs?

Photography and videography are not permitted inside any of the exhibition galleries. Photography is possible on the Castle grounds.

What is your policy concerning the reproduction of images?

Photography and videography are not permitted in any of the exhibition galleries. To request permission to reproduce any image from The Lobkowicz Collections, please contact Petr Slouka, Library Assistant, at slouka@lobkowicz.cz. Requests from the press should be directed to Veronika Graulíková, at graulikova@lobkowicz.cz

Are you family-friendly?

Children have found the exhibition tour fun and informative as they can get a close-up view of exhibited objects, curiosities and weapons and follow the family’s story with the guide. Baby strollers are not permitted in the exhibition but may be left at the admissions desk upon arrival. High chairs and toys are available in the Castle Gift Shop’s informal eating area.

Is there a place to check our bags?

Lockers for personal belongings are available in the basement of the entrance hall, near the admissions desk and Castle Gift Shop.

Are the Castle spaces available for rent for private functions?

Are there dining facilities?

Sandwiches, snacks and drinks are available in the Castle Gift Shop daily from 10:00 to 17:00, except Mondays when the Castle is closed to the public.
